Speak Up About RTD September Service Changes

An exciting new proposal: One proposed service change is to add a new AL route between Longmont and Denver International Airport (DEN). Proposed stops include 8th Avenue and Coffman Street, the Longmont Park-n-Ride, the Niwot Road/Hwy 287 Park-n-Ride, and Lafayette Park-n-Ride before taking E470 to the airport.

Speak up for regional commuters: RTD is proposing to eliminate Route 228, the only fixed-route bus service in Superior, and a key connection for workers commuting to Boulder from Louisville, Lafayette, and Broomfield. Superior, Lafayette, and Louisville have collectively invested more than $300,000 in stop infrastructure and route enhancements over the past year. Cutting the route now would undermine those investments and the commuters who depend on them. BCTC is aligned with Commuting Solutions, Boulder County, and multiple municipalities in urging RTD to maintain service.

Also on the table: A route 53 restoration and extension in Broomfield and expanded Broomfield FlexRide weekday hours to 9:00 p.m.

Your voice matters: Boulder businesses have shown interest in seeing the 206 bus travel through Flatiron Park and on to Boulder Junction at Depot Square Station. That route is NOT currently under consideration, but your voice asking for that service can help make it a reality and create a fresh connection from Boulder Junction to the Table Mesa Park-n-Ride through Flatiron Park.
