About Boulder Commuter Connections Program (BCCP)
Boulder Transportation Connections is excited to announce a new program, Boulder Commuter Connections Program (BCCP), that provides transportation assistance for low-income, contract, alternative shift, and essential workers in Boulder. This program provides subsidies for individuals who qualify for the program and commit to using one of several sustainable transportation modes including vanpool, carpool, transit/bus and bicycling to work.
The program will run from January 2023-December 2023.

Program Eligibility
Boulder Commuter Connections is open to individuals who work in Boulder and qualify as any one of the following:

Boulder employees who work on a contract basis or who work alternative shifts qualify for this program. This includes employees working for companies not based in Boulder, but whose primary work site is in Boulder.
Based on federal and state essential guidelines, a number of major job sectors qualify as essential, including but not limited to:
- Energy
- Child care
- Water and wastewater
- Agriculture and food production
- Critical retail (i.e. grocery stores, hardware stores, mechanics)
- Critical trades (construction workers, electricians, plumbers, etc.)
- Transportation
- Nonprofits and social service organizations

Ride For Free: Vanpool
Ride For Free: Vanpool (Spanish)

Program Benefits
When you commit to vanpooling to work, BTC will pay for your vanpool for up to 10 months!*
Vanpools work best with 4-10 employees at a company who are working the same shift, and who live or commute from the same general area.
This vanpool subsidy (up to $475 monthly) includes:
- Free van rental
- Insurance
- Maintenance including oil changes, tires, etc.
- Driver can use van for personal travel on weekends
Program Guidelines
- Compete the BCCP application.
- Participating companies will sign up with Commute by Enterprise (there is no cost or financial commitment).
- Participants will need to identify and qualify one primary and one back up driver.
- Participants commit to commuting to work using the vanpool at least three times per week during the program duration.
- If possible, participants sign up for MyWaytoGo and track their alternative trips on the site.

Carpools include at least two participants, and work best when the employees commute from the same area and work a similar shift.
When you sign up for this program choice, BTC will provide your carpool a $50 gas card each month you participate to offset the cost of your commute.
Program Guidelines
- Complete the BCCP application.
- Carpool participants provide their own insurance and maintenance of the vehicle used for the carpool.
- Participants commit to commuting to work using the carpool at least three times per week during the program duration.
- If possible, participants sign up for MyWaytoGo and track their alternative trips on the site.

Free Transit Passes
Free Transit Passes (Spanish)

Program Benefits
When you commit to take the bus to work, BTC will provide you with 10 free round trip bus passes per month, for up to 10 months!*
Using transit or taking the bus works best if you live and work near bus and transit lines. And donโt forget that bus and transit can easily be combined with biking or walking for the first or last leg of your trip!
When you sign up for this program choice, BTC will provide you with two 10-ticket books (either local or regional, depending on your commute/$56-$101 value) per month, each month you participate.

Program Benefits
When you commit to using Boulder BCycle to commute to work, BTC will provide you with a free one-year BCycle Membership! ($150 value).
BCycle has over 300 e-bikes at more than 47 stations in Boulder, and your membership includes:
- Unlimited number of 60 minute trips
- $5/half hour for trips over 60 minutes
Program Guidelines
- Complete the BCCP application.
- Participants must demonstrate that they live and work near a BCycle station.
- Participants commit to commuting to work using BCycle or another alternative transportation at least three times per week during the program duration.
- If possible, participants sign up for MyWaytoGo and track their alternative trips on the site.

Program Benefits
When you commit to riding your bike to work, BTC will provide you with a $50 gift card for Community Cycles, a non-profit in Boulder committed to bike safety and education. Your gift card can be used towards the purchase of a bike, to learn how to tune and repair your bike, or for gear that helps you feel safer on your bike commute!
Community Cycles offers a variety of services for bicyclists, including:
- Used bikes for sale
- Bike repair workshops
- Bike gear such as helmets, saddlebags, bike locks

** Participants with the vanpool, carpool, or transit pass programs will be eligible for the Guaranteed Ride Home Program. The Guaranteed Ride Home program provides a free taxi ride home from the office for employees who have an emergency arise (whether itโs a mere unexpected schedule change or a sick child).
