The week of September 16-20 is Transportation Demand Management Week, focusing this year on carbon reduction. We’re picking up that theme for our fall Connect Boulder luncheon on Thursday, September 19, with special guest Will Toor, executive director of the Colorado Energy Office and longtime Boulder leader. Mr. Toor will give a talk on how Colorado is working to reduce climate-impacting pollution across sectors.
An expert in his field, Mr. Toor’s work speaks for itself. In a recent article in the Colorado Newsline, he wrote, “By integrating our work on transportation, land use, and housing, Colorado can make a real difference in both achieving our climate goals and making our state a more prosperous, affordable, and healthier place to enjoy and live.”

Thursday’s meeting – presented by the City of Boulder and Via Mobility Services – will also feature a presentation by RTD Board Director Lynn Guissinger about ballot measure 7A, the Keep Transit Moving campaign, and a talk by UCAR Sustainability Manager Michael Wurzel about all the ways his organization supports sustainable employee transportation.
This meeting is for anyone interested in transportation access and sustainability in Boulder, business and government professionals in the community, human resources and facilities managers, and Employee Transportation Coordinators (ETCs) representing Boulder businesses.
