Boulder’s transportation landscape is shifting fast, and this fall’s Connect Boulder luncheon will give you the updates you need on three important topics. Join us on Thursday, September 24, at 11:30 am at the Boulder Chamber to hear from the two candidates for the District O seat on the RTD Board of Directors, learn about how the City of Boulder and the Sundance Institute are working together on a transit-first approach to next year’s Sundance Film Festival in Boulder, and get a first glimpse into what Boulder’s station area for the Colorado Connector (“CoCo”) passenger rail will look and feel like when the train comes in 2029.

Each of the District O candidates, Audrey DeBarros and Jack Rosenthal, will give a short presentation at Connect Boulder, followed by audience Q&A. It’s a great chance to hear directly from the candidates, get your questions answered, and make an informed decision about who you want to represent Boulder on the RTD Board.

We’re also excited to welcome the City of Boulder’s Director of Strategic Partnerships, Cris Jones, and a special guest from the Sundance Institute to talk about how transportation planning for the Sundance Film Festival‘s first year in Boulder is taking a transit-first, park-once approach. You’ll hear the latest updates on how the city and festival partners are making transit accessible to everyone and creating options for parking and drop-off areas to ensure Boulder visitors and residents can get where they need to go throughout the 10-day festival.

As Boulder prepares for the Sundance Film Festival, the city is also making plans for the Colorado Connector passenger rail, which will pull into a new station in Boulder Junction in 2029! Come hear from the City of Boulder’s Comprehensive Planning Manager, Kristofer Johnson, about how the station area planning is creating a welcoming vision for CoCo’s Boulder home.

Don’t miss out! Register now to reserve your place – and lunch! – at Connect Boulder on Thursday, September 24. We’ll see you there!
