Karen Worminghaus, who served as executive director of Boulder Chamber Transportation Connections before stepping down earlier this year, was honored this week with a Distinguished Service Award from the Denver Regional Council of Governments (DRCOG).
Nearly 500 people joined the DRCOG Board of Directors on Wednesday, August 27, for the 2025 Awards Celebration at Seawell Ballroom at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts. Transportation professionals from across Colorado’s Front Range came together to honor colleagues for their dedicated work in the region.
Karen was warmly recognized for her more than 20 years of contributions to the transportation demand management field. She cofounded Colorado CarShare in the early 2000s and shepherded Boulder Transportation Connections through its merger with the Boulder Chamber four years ago while helping the organization grow and expand services to the business community.
The staff of the Boulder Chamber and BCTC applaud Karen for her fantastic work and look forward to continuing our collaboration with her as a valued consultant!
