Cool fall air makes this a great biking and walking season and an opportunity to shift your car trips to another mode.
In Boulder, 11 local businesses are now among the 87 regional businesses competing in the 2025 Go-Tober Challenge. Each year, the Denver Regional Council of Governments (DRCOG) promotes Go-Tober, inviting regional businesses to see how their commute habits measure up to similarly sized businesses along the Front Range.
To get their team motivated, Boulder-based The Nature Conservancy (TNC) welcomed Elaine from our team over to sign up staff on their MyWaytoGo network. The TNC staff has a mix of Boulder-based employees who love to bike, people in the Denver area who drive EVs, and many staff who work remotely at least part of the time. At the event, TNC Sustainable Facilities Manager Jon Ray Gardner reminded his team, “This is a great chance to dust off that bike you’ve been meaning to ride, put your free EcoPass from TNC to good use, lace up your walking shoes, or call up some nearby colleagues and drive to work together.”
Join the Go-Tober Challenge now and you’ll be eligible for weekly prize drawings! Participants who track trips between 12:00:00 a.m. Monday, October 20, and 11:59:59 p.m. Sunday, October 26, are eligible to win the Weeks 4 and 5 Commuter Prizes. Winners will be selected on Monday, November 3.
Teleworkers can win a pair of tickets to Dracula: A Comedy of Terrors at Garner Galleria Theater.
Transit, carpool and Vanpool riders can win a jacket, courtesy of Patagonia.
Active transportation users (biking, walking, scooting, etc.) can win a Po Campo Wave bag. at the Denver Art Museum.
At the end of the challenge, the top businesses in each category will be recognized in paid media and via DRCOG’s social media channels in November. Any participant who logs at least 8 commutes during the month will be eligible to win a Topo Designs Mountain Utility Tote and one of two gift cards of $100 or $250.
