June in Boulder means it’s time to swap your keys for your sneakers or handlebars. Walk & Bike Month 2026 offers a full calendar of free rides, skill workshops, community walks, and one seriously festive Bike to Work Day … and BCTC is proud to be a big part of it all!
The fun starts before June even arrives. On May 30, the Walk 180 (eastern half) kicks things off with a half-circumnavigation of Boulder — a perfect warm-up before the full 26-mile Walk 360 Slow Marathon on June 27. The western half of the Walk 360 happens June 13. Be sure to register by following the links listed on the Boulder Walks webpage, or on the Boulder Ramblers Meetup page.
June 3: Connect Boulder Summer Social & Happy Hour (3:30–6:30 pm) Our very special signature event this year brings together land use, transportation, and joy, featuring CDOT Executive Director Shoshana Lew, the City of Boulder’s new Director of Transportation and Mobility Blythe Bailey, and City Thread Partner Kyle Wagenschutz. Learn more and register here.
June 7: B360 & B180 — Circle Boulder by Bike (9 am, Valmont City Park) The beloved B360 ride returns! Whether you go the full loop or just the half, this is one of the most joyful mornings Boulder has to offer. Bring the family, bring a friend, just get there by 9.
June 10 & 17: Free Bike Workshops from Community Cycles Whether you’ve been stranded with a flat tire or just want to keep your bike in better shape, Community Cycles has you covered with two free workshops: Fix a Flat (June 10) and Bike Maintenance 101 (June 17). Registration is required, so grab your spot.
June 20: Big Boulder Dog Walk (9 am, Cottonwood Trailhead) Leashed — or Voice & Sight certified — dogs welcome. This one is exactly what it sounds like and just as delightful.
June 24: Walk & Bike to Work (or Wherever) Day — The Main Event This is the best day of the summer. Thousands of Boulderites take to the trails, paths, and streets, and BCTC is hosting a breakfast super-station like none other! Join us in the Boulder Chamber parking lot for a full festival atmosphere with booths from Voodoo Doughnuts, Hydrate IV Bar, Colorado CarShare, Lime Scooters, Via Mobility, TGTHR, Visit Boulder, BeemLight Sauna, Next Health, Stowe Trunks, Healthy Hounds Fitness, EcoLawn Care, Corden Pharma, the City of Boulder, and more! Plus, Open Studios will provide an interactive art experience and we’ll have delicious breakfast burritos and doughnuts for everyone.
DRCOG runs a region-wide pledge campaign for Bike to Work Day. Add your name here and help show how many Boulder commuters are making the switch. Every pledge counts.
The party continues that afternoon with a Walk & Bike to Work Happy Hour at Zeal Restaurant (4–6 pm), and June wraps up with the Community Cycles Membership Party on June 27 (6–9 pm).
BCTC is proud to support a month that puts Boulder’s active transportation culture front and center, because every trip made by foot or by bike is a small win for the community and the region. We’ll see you out there!
