October in Boulder means beautiful weather, colorful leaves, sweaters, pumpkin spice … and the Go-Tober Business Challenge! Get your team signed up now by registering on the Way to Go website here, then get ready to compete for fun prizes as you track your trips by any mode other than driving alone.
Each fall, we collaborate with the Way to Go program of the Denver Regional Council of Governments on this fun challenge to see who can log the most shared and active trips throughout October. Join the many Boulder businesses that have excelled in this friendly challenge, including Pet Sustainability Coalition, UCAR, and La Sportiva.
What it is:
- A monthlong challenge inviting workers to log their sustainable trips
- Easy to track trips on the MyWayToGo.org platform
- People are eligible to win prizes each week (track at least two trips per employee per week for the best chance to win!)
- People who track at least 8 trips per month will enter a drawing for a $250 cash gift card
- Other prizes include two Patagonia jackets, Cotopaxi bags, Bustang tickets and more!
- Businesses join a leaderboard to track engagement against other businesses around the region
How to get involved:
- Register your business on the Go-Tober Challenge website
- Set up your challenge page on MyWayToGo.org
- Download materials to promote to staff
- Share your unique sign-up link to your team and encourage everyone to sign up
- Start logging trips!
What trips are included?
Whether you bike, walk, take transit, ride a scooter, carpool, vanpool, telework, or drive an EV, each trip counts toward your sustainable goal. Just don’t drive alone!
