The City of Boulder invites community members to join the grand opening celebration for the Downtown Boulder Station Gate Expansion Project on Wednesday, August 27th from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the west bus bays on 14th Street, just south of Canyon Blvd. The project adds five new bus gates to accommodate existing and future transit services, along with wider sidewalks, ADA improvements, pedestrian shelters, and enhanced landscaping.
The celebration will feature light refreshments, a ribbon cutting ceremony at noon with remarks from city staff, City Council, the Regional Transportation District (RTD), and Boulder Chamber Transportation Connections, followed by lawn games and mingling. This expansion project increases transit service capacity at the downtown station and improves route efficiency for Boulder’s growing transit network.
