Throughout the month of June, Boulder Chamber Transportation Connections hosted and participated in eight events in celebration of Walk and Bike Month. Thanks to our fantastic partners, presenters, member businesses, and community for an amazing month packed full of fun!

The month got off to a great start with Community Cycles’ B360 bicycle ride around Boulder on June 1. Our staff hosted a rest stop and enjoyed greeting the more than 400 bicyclists who rode by throughout the morning. The following Saturday, June 7, BCTC Executive Director Darcy Kitching led the Walk 180 (slow) half marathon with an enthusiastic group of long-distance urban hikers. On June 11, we participated in the Community Cycles Bike Show at Sanitas Brewing Company.

June ended with two final super-fun events: the Walk 360 Slow Marathon and the Community Cycles Membership Party. Saturday, June 28, was a hot day with a high of 94 degrees, but 25 people still showed up to hike the 26-mile loop around Boulder over the course of 10 and a half hours. It was all worth it!
